It has been two weeks I'm working at the new place.
So far so good i must say and it's really nice to see some familiar faces around.
You know who you are. *wink wink*.
Despite the aching legs of wearing high heels (which is good - help me to sleep soundly at night =P ) and the 1-hr journey to and fro workplace, the training has gone well, i think, and i'm really looking forward to do the actual task. =)
For the 1st time in 3yrs, i actually feel happy to go to work in the morning...
Besides that, i must hit the gym as soon as i can - been panting everytime i have to rush for the bus. tut tut. not good... not good at all.
And i wanna get a good pair of roller-blade too... have not been doing that for along time too. hmm... so, any good brand to recommend, anyone?
Anyway, i went for a mini gathering last night at simei. Got to meet some of the peeps from class 3E2/4E2 of year 2000/2001 like winnie, raymond, kelvin, hafiz, alfred, jing xiang, kai fa, jian xian, cheng yi and zi jia, who i haven't met for 3-5 years, except winnie, of course.
We had dinner, talked, laughed, recounted all the great and silly memories back in prss. it's really...nice and delightful. =)
But it shocked me when i learnt about derrick's unexpected condition and the reason why we couldn't contact him for over a year.
it's kinda saddened me, actually.
we're going to pay him a visit next week, which is also my medical appointment day in the morning. haiz...
we ended the day, or rather night, at alfred's place; cut the cake as it's cheng yi's birthday.
I'm glad i made the effort to do this despite my sore feet because of that stupid shoe (trash it, i shall! ) and I'm looking forward to meet them again next week.
Movie Review: Pan's Labyrinth [5/5 stars]to be honest with you, this is one de best fantasy movies i've ever watched in my life besides de lord of de rings trilogy. i have always been a fan of guillerma del toro, who is de director for hellboy and blade as well; his movies are usually enriched with spanish culture, which i found fascinating. this movie is worth every penny to watch it. two thumbs up!
